After suffering a near fatal fall in the mountains of Colorado Charlie Doe wakes from a coma to discover he has no recollection of who he is or where he came from. He has broken almost every bone in his body and even his face has been damaged beyond recognition. As he attempts to recover from his wounds and his loss of memory he befriends his doctor, Annie Sexton. Annie does everything she can to help him recover and discover his past but she has her own shattered memories to deal with. This was a fabulous read filled with intricate details, and takes the reader on various twists and turns causing you to keep reading. Definitely a hard book to put down!

One of the things I liked was the romance between Charlie and Annie. It was pretty charming partly because they were sweet, likable (with Charlie having a great sense of humor and Annie having a great sense of compassion) and supportive of each other, despite the depressing situation.
So this is a romance that also has a couple of mysteries going on at the same time, that being the mystery of Charlie and Annie's past. I haven't seen this kind of thing before in the romances I've read so it was kind of refreshing for me. Not only that but the mysteries themselves (as well as the rest of the story for that matter) were engaging and I couldn't always tell where they were going to go.
Another thing I liked was the imagery. At times, there's some really good imagery, especially descriptions of things like the different parts of the planned bed and breakfast.
